Orgiaglia is a splendid organic oasis situated just outside the Berignone Nature Park, looking out over the theatre of hills that lie between the ancient hill-top towns of Volterra and San Gimignano, strategically located between Florence, Siena, Pisa and the coast.
Three thousand olive trees and countless sunflowers encircle the ancient country home where Franco and Umberta and their family have been offering warm hospitality and true Tuscan cuisine to their guests for over 20 years.
By the fireside or under the starry sky, you can enjoy specialties produced on the farm or nearby, all drizzled with excellent extra-virgin olive oil, such as bruschetta, Florentine steaks and tasty meats grilled over oak-wood coals in our enormous fireplace, wild boar and other local game, porcini mushrooms, seasonal vegetables, honey, pecorino cheeses and bountiful Chianti wine, all served at our convivial table.
The welcoming architecture, with old Tuscan stones and terracotta tiles, is furnished with hand-made furniture and antiques. The apartments and bedrooms on the ground floor have private gardens with arbours, tables and chairs and independent entrances; the other bedrooms are located on the first floor of the villa and they all have showers and mini-fridges.
You will also be kept company by our little dog Olimpia, Sangrillà and the other horses, the pony Splendente, the goats and docile cats.
The possibilities of things to do in the area are truly endless: relaxing by our large swimming pool (20 x 10 metres), playing tennis, taking a ride on mountain bikes or on horseback through our estate or in the park, going for nature walks or country strolls under the shadow of oak trees with the air infused with the perfume of broom blossoms, taking hikes following the Itinerary of the Two Castles, searching for fossils, and visiting our olive press with us.
It is hard to resist falling in love with the pristine environment surrounding the estate, a happy habitat for animals such for hares, pheasants and deer, ensuring your stay will be special and unforgettable.
