The bell tower looms over the vineyards, olive groves and the verdant gently rolling Tuscan hills. The main square with its Romanesque Pisan church is well worth a visit and so is the surrounding area scattered with historical monuments and villages such as Cedri, Fabbrica, Libbiano, Legoli and Montecchio.
An excellent wine producing and farmland area that offers a peaceful relaxing holiday in the rustic farmhouses perfectly set against an evocative landscape. For those who love culture, the visit to the museums is an absolute must: the Russian Icon Museum Francesco Bigazzi, the Archaeological Museum and the Museum of engraving and lithography – Donation Vito Merlini are all situated in the old town of Peccioli.
In addition is certainly worth a visit to the G. Galilei Observatory in Libbiano and the Prehistoric Park, a natural habitat abounding in life-sized prehistoric animals. Peccioli has much to offer and much to explore.

Peccioli is a small village on a hilltop in a large rural territory extending in the Southern Province of Pisa, between the towns Pontedera and Volterra. Its agricultural setting has been wisely preserved over the years and several farms of the area have slowly turned into farmhouses in the last decades, consistently leading the local agricultural economy towards tourism.
Their inhabitants are very active and lively people who like staying together like in many other places in Tuscany.
Peccioli and its surroundings are small villages with medieval churches, historic houses, viewpoints and pedestrian lanes.
The village of Peccioli was built around the ruins of the medieval castle, and it’s surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and green hills, and there you can still see many examples of architecture of the XII century as the San Verano’s Church, the Chapel and the Praetorian Palace of Peccioli. For nature lovers, the Municipality of Peccioli offers the possibility to venture in 6 very pleasant and interesting nature trails all marked by signs and markings (white and red).
The trails wind their way a series of streams, forests and large countryside characterized by a varied vegetation of cypresses, poplars, and brooms.
Villages of different features from which depart the trails offer visitors historical, artistic and cultural needs of undoubted importance.
The variety of landscapes allows us to satisfy fans of various sports like mountain biking, horse riding and walking, and even those who love nature will find a relaxing environment.
