Keep alive the memory of an era
The village of Montecastelli, in order to preserve a collection of tools used in agriculture and in the home between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s, has recently created a Museum of Rural Life.
The Museum was founded thanks to the collaboration with the inhabitants of Montecastelli, who donated the tools on display. The items, restored and recorded bear witness to local life, sometimes difficult due to economic and environmental problems.
The museum also records the different art and crafts activities of the past, so that the visitor can better understand the techniques and jobs of the past.
